FAMILLE RAILWORKS:
In the fall and winter of 2011, RailWorks bridge crews performed structural repairs on 25 bridges for Watco on its South Kansas and Oklahoma Line (SKOL).
For a five-month stretch covering about 80 miles, multiple crews worked along Highway 75 between Independence, Kan., and Owasso, Okla., to perform structural repairs on 25 bridges for Watco. Crews changed out 135 stringers, 25 pilings and 25 caps, replaced headwalls and sills, and performed shimming on the bridges, all of which were on the South Kansas & Oklahoma Railroad line.
